The Hotel
A 6,000-acre working sheep and beef farm on the clifftops above Cape Kidnappers — named for a 1769 Maori-Cook incident — with a golf course that Golf Digest has rated among the world's finest and views of Hawke's Bay that make New Zealand's wine country feel genuinely remote. The only gannet colony accessible by land in the world is a short walk from the lodge.
