Rosewood Jeddah Appoints Victor Martinez as Executive Sous Chef

Rosewood Jeddah, operating on the city's Corniche since 2007, brought in Victor Martinez as its new Executive Sous Chef in February 2026, a hire that carries genuine cross-brand experience. Martinez previously held the same title at both Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands and Rosewood Sand Hill in California, giving him a career that spans the Caribbean, North America, and now the Middle East.

The hotel has also been building a cultural program that extends well beyond dining, turning its Corniche property into a platform for Saudi artists, musicians, and designers since launching the initiative in the fall of 2025. A Ramadan pop-up called Rouh AlHejaz, featuring Saudi chef Hakeem Bagabas, gave the program a specific culinary showcase within its broader cultural mission.

Between Martinez's arrival and the ongoing cultural platform, Rosewood Jeddah is positioning itself as more than a waterfront luxury hotel, using its kitchen and its public spaces alike to engage directly with Saudi Arabia's creative community.
