Rosewood Luang Prabang Hosts a Week-Long Chef Steve Lancaster Residency

Rosewood Luang Prabang closed out 2025 with a genuinely ambitious culinary program, a week-long residency from Chef Steve Lancaster running December 24 through 31. The residency opened with a five-course Christmas Eve dinner and closed with a six-course New Year's Eve gala, with truffle-focused dishes featured prominently across the week's menus.

The residency also included a Lao New Year BACI blessing ceremony, a traditional ritual that gave the culinary program a genuinely local cultural anchor rather than simply importing a generic festive-season format. Designed by Bill Bensley, the resort sits just ten minutes from Luang Prabang's UNESCO World Heritage city center, with 23 accommodations spanning Riverside Rooms, Suites, Villas, Waterfall Pool Villas, and Hilltop Tents.
