Rosewood Red Sea occupies Shura Island, the main hub of the Red Sea Project's sprawling 92-island archipelago, and it's set to become Rosewood's first Saudi Arabia property to actually open, ahead of the brand's separate AMAALA and Jeddah developments in terms of debut timing. The distinction matters: Rosewood Red Sea and Rosewood AMAALA are entirely separate properties on two different Red Sea Global destinations, not variations of the same project.

The 149-room property earned early recognition before even opening, landing on Matador Network's list of the 50 Most Exciting New Hotels of 2026. Three restaurants, two lounges, and a signature Manor Club round out the property's offering, with Red Sea Global targeting all 27 Phase One properties across its Red Sea and AMAALA destinations to be operational by the end of the second quarter of 2026.

For a development as ambitious as the Red Sea Project, being named among the year's most anticipated new hotels before opening day even arrives is a strong early signal. Rosewood Red Sea's debut will be one of the clearest tests yet of how the broader destination performs once guests actually arrive.
