Overview
The Hotel
Hotel de Russie occupies a 19th-century palazzo between Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps — one of Rome's most enviable positions — with a terraced Secret Garden that climbs the Pincian Hill behind the property and remains one of the city's most genuinely restorative outdoor spaces. The 122 rooms and suites, designed by Olga Polizzi with a palette of soft neutrals and natural materials, feel entirely contemporary without sacrificing the gravitas of the building. The Stravinskij Bar — named for Igor Stravinsky, who lived in the hotel in the 1950s — has been Rome's defining aperitivo address for two decades, and Le Jardin de Russie restaurant serves some of the finest garden dining in the city.
