Palazzo Castelluccio: Rocco Forte's Third Sicilian Hotel Opens in Noto for 2026

Palazzo Castelluccio is set to become Rocco Forte's third Sicilian hotel in 2026, transforming one of the largest noble residences in the Val di Noto into a 31-room property spread across roughly 50,000 square feet. The palazzo was originally built in 1782 by the Marquis di Lorenzo del Castelluccio, and its neoclassical facade stands out noticeably against the baroque architecture that otherwise defines Noto's historic center.

Design duo Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen are working alongside Olga Polizzi on the interiors, the same team responsible for several of Rocco Forte's recent Italian openings, bringing a consistent design language across the group's newest properties even as each building's history differs completely. The finished hotel will include a restaurant, bar, garden lounge, meeting and events space, spa, and gym.

With Villa Igiea in Palermo and Verdura Resort near Sciacca already established, Palazzo Castelluccio gives Rocco Forte a genuinely comprehensive presence across Sicily, covering Palermo's Belle Époque grandeur, Verdura's golf-focused coastline, and now Noto's baroque heartland in the island's southeast corner. It's part of a broader expansion that also includes Milan, Sardinia, and Naples over the same three-year window.
