Hotel Savoy Florence Hosts the Florence Biennale's Tim Burton Celebration

Hotel Savoy served as cultural partner to the XV Florence Biennale, the international exhibition of contemporary art and design that ran October 18 through 26, 2025, and this year honored the fantastical world of filmmaker Tim Burton with the Lorenzo il Magnifico Lifetime Achievement Award. The hotel hosted the Biennale's official opening celebration, transforming its terrace on Piazza della Repubblica, its Irene Restaurant, and the newly unveiled Bar Artemisia into the epicenter of Florence's cultural calendar for the occasion.

Guests staying in the hotel's suites during the Biennale received VIP privileges including priority access, private curator-led tours, and a reserved seat at Burton's award ceremony, a level of access that went well beyond a typical hotel partnership. Through January 25, 2026, the hotel also arranged exclusive after-hours access to Beato Angelico, a landmark exhibition at the Palazzo Strozzi dedicated to the visionary 15th-century master, in partnership with the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi.

The hotel picked up a Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown Award on the back of renovations completed in both 2018 and 2025, giving it a genuinely current physical product to match its increasingly ambitious cultural programming.
