San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel continues to hold the Michelin star at its restaurant Principe Cerami, led by native Sicilian Chef Massimo Mantarro, who has worked at the property since 2003 and earned the star in November 2022. The kitchen's consistency has made it one of the culinary anchors of a hotel set inside a 14th-century former convent above the Ionian Sea.
The property has stayed busy beyond the star. In March 2025 it opened a new Mediterranean-Italian restaurant, Rosso, and in April Mantarro hosted a four-hands dinner with Rodolfo Lavrador, Executive Chef of CURA at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon. It also debuted a White Lotus Bar tied to the third season of the HBO series, which was filmed at the hotel, and was awarded three Michelin Keys in 2025 while scoring 93.5 in La Liste's 2026 ranking.
Perched on the cliffs of Taormina with Mount Etna in the distance, the hotel became a global talking point after its television turn. The Michelin star and the new venues ensure its substance matches its newfound fame.
