Belmond Hotel Cipriani Venice Unveils Peter Marino's Reimagined Oro Restaurant

Belmond Hotel Cipriani is working through a multi-phase renovation by Peter Marino Architect, with an earlier phase already introducing a luminous double-height lobby and 13 reimagined suites. Spring 2026 brings the project's two biggest reveals yet: Venice's first Dior Spa, offering high-tech facials and holistic therapies inspired by Venetian balls and Christian Dior's own ties to art and celebration, and a fully reimagined Oro restaurant.

Oro's overhaul is a genuinely significant culinary event on its own. Chef Vania Ghedini now runs the kitchen under the broader culinary direction of Massimo Bottura, and the Michelin-starred restaurant is introducing an all-day format with lunch service for the first time in its history, a real shift for a dining room that has traditionally operated dinner-only.

Hotel Cipriani also anchors Belmond's new Villeggiatura by Train program for 2026, pairing a night aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express with a stay at one of four partner Italian hotels, Cipriani among them. For guests who already know the Orient-Express, the ability to extend that experience directly into a stay on Giudecca Island gives the whole trip a genuinely different shape.
