The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort named Brent Devlin its new Executive Chef and Seamus Dooley Director of Food and Beverage, a leadership pairing announced in 2026 that gives the resort a refreshed culinary direction. Devlin previously ran food and beverage operations at JW Marriott Austin, bringing experience managing a large, multi-venue hotel dining program.
The appointments landed alongside a genuinely significant milestone: Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star status for 2026, the resort's 14th consecutive year holding the distinction, plus an AAA Five-Diamond rating for 2025. Sustaining Five-Star recognition for fourteen straight years is a rare feat in an industry where standards, and competition, keep rising.
A $25 million soft renovation is underway alongside the leadership changes, refreshing carpets, furnishings, motorized drapery, and outdoor living spaces, with all suites fully updated by the end of December 2026. Between the new culinary team and the ongoing renovation, the resort is investing to extend its 14-year streak rather than simply maintaining it.
