Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech opened in October 2015, and its tenth anniversary in 2025 turned into a genuinely ambitious ten-day program rather than a single celebratory dinner. Running September 24 through October 4, 2025, "10 Days for 10 Years" brought a rotating cast of culinary talent through the resort's restaurants, alongside wellness, community, and cultural programming.
Michelin-starred chef José Avillez took over the resort's Pool Garden restaurant from September 24 through 28, closing his run with a brunch featuring synchronized water dancers. Chef Hind Nebgane launched a Moroccan menu at Shirvan on September 26, built around local products and ancestral techniques, while chef Nicky Tan brought modern Cantonese cuisine to Ling Ling by Hakkasan from October 2 through 4. The Tent, meanwhile, hosted a Don Julio Hacienda pop-up beginning September 30 that ran for six months afterward.
Packing this much programming into ten days gave the anniversary a sense of scale that matched the resort's decade in Marrakech, a city where Mandarin Oriental now competes with some of the world's most storied riads and resorts. Rather than looking backward, the celebration used the milestone to showcase exactly how varied the resort's culinary program has become.
