Cheval Blanc Pitrizza, LVMH's rebranding of the historic Hotel Pitrizza on Sardinia's Costa Smeralda, is now targeting a relaunch in May 2027 after a three-year transformation, a later date than the 2026 opening originally floated when the project was announced. About 80% of the property's inventory has already been renovated, with a redesigned spa and a new fine-dining restaurant among the remaining work.
Built in the 1960s by architect Luigi Vietti, the original Hotel Pitrizza is considered a landmark of Mediterranean modernist design, built from granite, terracotta, and dark wood set into the coastline above a private cove. The project marks Cheval Blanc's second Sardinian address alongside a sister Belmond property also joining the LVMH portfolio on the island.
