The St. Regis Singapore completed its first major renovation since opening in April 2008, a multi-phase transformation designed by FBEYE International and inspired directly by the nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. All 299 guestrooms and suites were redone in botanical greens, light blues, and floral motifs, with sustainability features including motion-activated LED lighting and potable water taps built in throughout.
The renovation brought genuinely new dining concepts. Sophia, a glasshouse-inspired modern Italian restaurant replacing the former steakhouse The Astor Grill, is led by Chef de Cuisine Angelo Sergio, a Puglia native whose menu draws on eleven distinct Italian regions. The Tea Room launched in June 2025 with ivory, teal, and blush pink interiors, serving a new St. Regis Afternoon Tea, while Yan Ting, the hotel's Cantonese restaurant under Executive Chinese Chef Chan Chung Shing, was also refreshed.
In August 2025, Chan collaborated four-hands with Chef Daniel Wong of the one-Michelin-starred Jin Xuan at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong, part of Marriott's Luxury Dining Series. Completing this scale of renovation while staying fully operational throughout gave The St. Regis Singapore a comprehensive refresh timed for 2026, its most significant transformation in nearly two decades.
