Dinner by Heston Blumenthal has been one of the defining reasons to book Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London since it opened in 2011, and its run is coming to a close. The two-Michelin-starred restaurant, built around historic British recipes dating as far back as the 14th century, was originally set to close in summer 2026, but the hotel and Heston Blumenthal agreed to extend the date by six months so the restaurant could mark its 16th anniversary before ending service in January 2027.

Blumenthal called the closure bittersweet, describing a restaurant that had simply run its natural course after welcoming close to a million guests. Over its run, Dinner earned a place on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list and was named AA Restaurant of the Year, a rare combination of critical and popular success for a restaurant built around meat fruit, tipsy cake, and other reimagined dishes pulled from centuries-old English cookbooks.

For travelers with Hyde Park, London on their itinerary before January 2027, the closure adds real urgency to booking a table. The hotel itself, overlooking Hyde Park and Knightsbridge, continues to anchor one of London's most photographed corners, with Bar Boulud and The Rosebery carrying the property's dining program forward once Dinner's kitchen goes dark.
