Marcus, the signature restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Montréal, earned the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence, a tier above the more commonly awarded Award of Excellence and a recognition of genuine depth in the cellar. The list is overseen by Cheffe Sommelière Alexandra Guay, whose program pairs the modern cuisine of Chef Jason Morris with a range that reaches well beyond the expected benchmarks.
The award landed during a strong stretch for the hotel, which was named to Travel + Leisure's 2026 T+L 500 and ranked among Canada's top ten hotels in the publication's World's Best Awards for 2026. For a property in the Golden Square Mile, that combination of independent culinary and hospitality recognition matters in a city where dining credibility is hard-won.
Marcus has also leaned into seasonal programming to keep the room feeling current, from a Marcus en Casse-Noisette holiday brunch in December 2025 to a Maison du Soleil summer brunch in June 2026 and a New Year's Eve Marcus 54 event with mixologist Jay Lawson. The through-line is a restaurant that treats its calendar as carefully as its wine list.
