Four Seasons Hotel Toronto opened 2026 with its sixth consecutive Forbes Ten-Star distinction, announced in February, a designation reserved for hotels that hold five Forbes stars for both the property and its spa. Sustaining that dual recognition for six straight years places the Yorkville hotel among a very small group of North American properties that clear the bar year after year rather than once.
The culinary program remains led by resident chef Daniel Boulud through Café Boulud Toronto, and on May 21, 2026 the restaurant hosted Guillaume Galliot, executive chef of the three-Michelin-starred Caprice at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, for a one-night six-course collaborative dinner. Pairing Boulud's French sensibility with Galliot's Cantonese-influenced haute cuisine gave Toronto diners a genuinely rare four-hands event.
The recognition arrived alongside fresh leadership and facilities, with Chelan Goonetilleke appointed general manager in February 2026 and a new fitness centre unveiled that May. Together they suggest a hotel investing in its next chapter rather than resting on a well-established reputation.
