Belmond La Residencia Mallorca Launches Its First Art of Flavours Culinary Festival

Belmond La Residencia hosted its first-ever Art of Flavours culinary festival October 3 and 4, 2025, a two-day celebration of Balearic Island cooking that opened with a six-course Stars Dinner uniting two Michelin-starred chefs from other Belmond properties alongside three chefs drawn from mainland Spain and Mallorca's own dining scene. It's the kind of cross-property collaboration that only really works when a hotel group has enough Michelin talent scattered across its portfolio to bring several kitchens together at once.

Head Chef Pablo Aranda continues to run El Olivo, the hotel's acclaimed gastronomic restaurant, bringing his own Michelin-star experience and a genuine commitment to Km 0 cuisine, cooking built around ingredients sourced within a kilometer of the kitchen wherever possible. That sustainability-minded approach fits naturally into the surrounding village of Deià, long a magnet for writers and artists drawn to Mallorca's northwest coast.

Villa Robert Graves, named for the poet who made Deià his home, underwent a renovation by Studio Ashby that launched in April 2025, giving the hotel's most literary-minded accommodation a genuine refresh. Between the new festival and the villa renovation, La Residencia has had a busy year without losing the quiet, village-integrated character that has always set it apart from Mallorca's more resort-style luxury hotels.
