Palace Hotel Tokyo occupies one of the city's most enviable positions, in Marunouchi directly overlooking the Imperial Palace moat and gardens. Family-owned and rebuilt in 2012, it is a Leading Hotels of the World Sustainability Leader that pairs restrained luxury with a genuinely serious culinary program.

Two of its restaurants hold Michelin stars: Esterre, contemporary French in partnership with Ducasse Paris, and Amber Palace, Shanghainese and Cantonese in an Old-World China setting. The Japanese restaurant Wadakura houses a further quartet of experiences, including the Michelin-starred Sushi Kanesaka, the Tatsumi tempura bar and the Go teppanyaki grill. Grand Kitchen dines moat-side, while the Royal Bar, Lounge Bar Privé and Palace Lounge anchor the hotel's convivial life.

For dining and location together, few Tokyo hotels match it.
