Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg appointed Rudi Liebenberg as Executive Chef, a notable homecoming for a chef returning to Johannesburg after more than a decade in Cape Town, most recently at Belmond Mount Nelson. He now leads all dining at the hotel, including its Flames restaurant, alongside Executive Pastry Chef Nathan Jacobs and Chef Avuyile Fumba, who brings a focus on local ingredients.

The appointment came as the hotel completed a multi-year building project begun in 2023, officially opening a new Destination Lobby and Lobby Lounge in December 2025 along with a new 400-seat ballroom billed as one of Johannesburg's finest events venues. Together the additions significantly expand the property's public and event spaces.

Terraced across a hillside in the leafy Westcliff neighborhood with sweeping views over the city and the Johannesburg Zoo's greenery, the hotel offers a garden-estate feel within the metropolis. Liebenberg's arrival gives its dining a nationally recognized name.
