Lamborghini's Newest Supercars and the End of the Pure Combustion Era

For a company whose reputation was built on enormous, loud, naturally aspirated engines, the move to electrification might have seemed like a threat. The Revuelto

At the top sits the Revuelto, the flagship successor to the Aventador. It keeps the naturally aspirated V12 that has long been the soul of the marque and adds three electric motors, creating a plug-in hybrid that is the most powerful series production Lamborghini ever built. The Temerario

Below it, the Temerario replaces the long running Huracan and marks a bigger break. In place of the old V10, it uses a new twin turbocharged V8 paired with electric motors, a high revving hybrid powertrain built for a new generation. It is the everyday Lamborghini reimagined for the electric age.

The Urus SE

Completing the range is the Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid version of the super SUV that first took Lamborghini to a far wider audience. It brings electric only running and lower emissions to the model that now sells in the greatest numbers, extending the hybrid strategy across the whole lineup.

What makes Lamborghini's shift notable is that it has electrified without going quiet.
