The Knickerbocker Hotel is a piece of New York history, a 1906 Beaux-Arts landmark built by John Jacob Astor IV on the corner of 42nd Street and Broadway, at the very edge of Times Square. A Leading Hotels of the World Sustainability Leader, it pairs Gilded Age grandeur with one of the best rooftop views in Manhattan, and claims to be the birthplace of the dry martini.
The dining reaches for the sky. Charlie Palmer Steak IV is the newest of the chef's renowned steakhouses; AKOYA is a hidden rooftop temaki bar with sushi chef Taishi Yamaguchi; the St. Cloud rooftop offers Sky Pods over Times Square; and the Martini Lounge and café Jake's at The Knick complete the offering.
For a landmark Times Square stay, The Knickerbocker is a benchmark.
