The St. Regis Washington, D.C. Renovates Seven Floors and Plans a New Alhambra Terrace

The St. Regis Washington, D.C. unveiled an extensive renovation covering seven floors of guestrooms and suites, along with select public spaces and updated event venues, a scope significant enough to touch most of the hotel's guest-facing footprint. The scale of the project reflects the hotel's position among the capital's most historically significant luxury addresses.

The next phase, beginning in 2025, adds a new outdoor terrace at Alhambra, the hotel's modern Mediterranean restaurant, along with updates to the historic lobby-level St. Regis Bar. Extending dining outdoors gives Alhambra a genuinely different guest experience option beyond its existing indoor dining room.

The hotel's restaurant program was also recognized among honorees tied to the 2026 RAMMYS, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington's annual awards, adding local industry validation to the property's ongoing renovation investment.
