The St. Regis Red Sea Resort Remains the Red Sea Project's First Private Island Debut

The St. Regis Red Sea Resort opened on January 8, 2024, becoming the first private island resort to debut within Saudi Arabia's ambitious Red Sea Project, on Ummahat Island in the Al Wajh Lagoon. As the project's inaugural resort, it set the tone for what has become one of the most closely watched hospitality developments anywhere in the world.

Architect Kengo Kuma, working alongside Kristina Zanic Consultants, designed the resort's 90 beachfront and overwater villas, each with a private pool and ranging from one to four bedrooms.
