The St. Regis Kapalua Bay Transitions to Marriott Management Ahead of Its 2027 Debut

The oceanfront resort formerly known as Montage Kapalua Bay officially transitioned to Marriott International management on March 14, 2026, the first step in its planned conversion to The St. Regis Kapalua Bay. The 146-key, 25-acre Maui property is staying open throughout the transition and renovation period, with formal entry into the St. Regis brand targeted for 2027.

All 146 accommodations at the resort are multi-bedroom, ocean-view residences, ranging from two to four bedrooms and spanning 1,774 to 4,050 square feet, a residential-scale format that distinguishes the property from a conventional hotel room lineup. Ownership remains with KWHP throughout the brand transition.
