The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, set inside a gated 620-acre nature reserve since opening in 2023, closed its 2025-2026 winter season on April 18, 2026 with Pétanque, Torneo del Sol, a pétanque tournament that capped off a season-long collaboration with Duryea's, the Hamptons lifestyle brand. The partnership ran from November 17, 2025 through the April closing event.

Wines from Domaine Ott, the storied Provençal producer, anchored the tournament's tasting program, giving the pétanque format, more commonly associated with the French Riviera than the Mexican coast, a genuinely authentic pairing. Bringing a Hamptons brand and a Provençal winery together on the Riviera Maya reflects how deliberately the resort has built its seasonal programming around a specific, curated aesthetic.
