The St. Regis Chengdu opened in 2014 carrying a genuinely poetic piece of timing, exactly 110 years after the original St. Regis New York debuted in 1904 under John Jacob Astor IV. At the time, it was the brand's 33rd hotel globally, part of a stated plan to double the group's Greater China portfolio within five years.

The 279-key hotel houses an exclusive Iridium Spa with nine treatment rooms and its own sauna and steam facilities, alongside six food and beverage venues: Social for all-day dining, Yan Ting for Chinese specialties, Yun Fu with four private dining rooms, Decanter, Chengdu's only dedicated wine bar, Vantage XXVII as a rooftop sky bar, and The Drawing Room for afternoon tea and the brand's signature sabrage ritual.

Marking its tenth anniversary in 2024 with an opening-ceremony-style gala, and now well into its second decade, The St. Regis Chengdu continues to lean on that 110-year lineage as part of its identity, a hotel whose very opening date was chosen to honor the brand's own history.
