Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon takes its name from the Maldivian for 'secret water island', a fitting description for a resort in the remote northern Shaviyani Atoll that rings one of the largest lagoons in the country. A Leading Hotels of the World Sustainability Leader, it is best known for the Coralarium, an underwater and intertidal sculpture by artist Jason deCaires Taylor that doubles as an artificial reef.
The dining spans the island. Raha Market is the bustling all-day marketplace of Maldivian, Asian and hearty dishes; Azure is a fine-dining seafood restaurant by the sea; Kata is the signature Japanese restaurant of sushi, sashimi and robatayaki; and the Balinese-crafted Onu Onu Bar is the social hub for tropical drinks and beach lunches.
For remote seclusion, a vast lagoon and a touch of art, Sirru Fen Fushi is singular.
