Seabourn: An Expedition Aboard the Seabourn Venture

The Seabourn Venture was built for polar exploration, and it shows in details a typical luxury ship simply does not need, a mudroom for boot and gear storage, an ice-strengthened hull, and a fleet of Zodiacs and kayaks staged for daily use. Suites still carry Seabourn's usual level of comfort, but the whole vessel is clearly designed around getting guests off the ship and into the landscape.

The expedition team, a mix of naturalists, historians, and former researchers, briefs guests each evening on the next day's landings, and the submarine excursion is unlike anything available on most ships. A typical day starts with an early Zodiac landing, continues with a guided walk among wildlife largely unbothered by people, and ends back on board with a hot meal and a recap of everything seen that day.
