Book Rosewood Hôtel de Crillon
The Crillon has stood on Place de la Concorde since 1758, and after its years-long restoration, what stands out most is how well the hotel balances the weight of that history with interiors that feel completely current. Suites keep the bones of the original 18th-century building while everything inside has clearly been rebuilt from the ground up, and the result is a hotel that never feels like a museum piece.
The Guerlain Spa, designed with Karl Lagerfeld, is a genuine highlight, and dinner at Nonos & Comestibles par Paul Pairet, the Crillon's reinvention of the classic French grill, is worth booking well ahead. Between the two, and views straight onto the Place de la Concorde from many rooms, this remains one of the more memorable addresses in Paris.
