The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park was acquired by the Miami-based investment firm Gencom in February 2026, its third luxury hotel purchase in New York City in just over a year. The transaction places the 253-room property under an owner rapidly building one of the largest Ritz-Carlton portfolios in the country.
Set at the corner of Central Park South and Sixth Avenue, the hotel offers some of the most coveted park views in the city, along with the Contour restaurant, a Club Lounge, a La Prairie Spa, and a newly renovated fitness center. Its position places guests steps from Central Park and the luxury shopping of Fifth Avenue.
Central Park South is among Manhattan's most prestigious addresses, and the Ritz-Carlton has long been one of its defining hotels. The new ownership signals continued investment in the property's future.
