The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025 with a top-to-bottom redesign of its public areas, guest rooms, and spa. The clifftop resort in Dana Point unveiled its reimagined look with newly designed rooms and suites inspired by the soulful charm of Southern California paired with the timeless elegance of Spanish architecture.

The spa renovation added a new co-ed lounge called The Cove, with herbal spritzers and snacks, complementing the resort's coastal setting above Salt Creek Beach, where surfers gather below the bluff. The property remains home to some of the region's most popular restaurants, drawing locals as well as guests.

Perched on the cliffs of Orange County, the resort has been a Southern California icon since it opened, and the redesign carries that legacy into its fifth decade. Its ocean views and beach access remain among the finest on the coast.
