The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami reopened on December 8, 2025 after a $100 million transformation, its first comprehensive renewal in nearly 25 years. Led by developer Gencom with design firms Hart Howerton, DesignAgency, and Chapi Design, the project reimagined the oceanfront resort with an island-inspired sensibility.
The renovation delivered a completely redesigned spa with a new spa garden, refreshed guest rooms and suites, a new Club Lounge, the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center, and a new Ritz Kids Club. Dining expanded to six distinct concepts, including Luma, Paralía, the Rum Bar, and the Dune Beach Bar, and the resort marked its return with a grand opening celebration in March 2026.
Set on its own barrier island just across the Rickenbacker Causeway from downtown Miami, Key Biscayne offers a rare sense of seclusion within reach of the city. The transformation restores the resort to the front rank of South Florida hospitality.
