The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago Completes a $100 Million Renovation

The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago completed a $100 million renovation led by the San Francisco design firm BAMO, updating all 434 guest rooms along with the restaurant, spa, and amenities atop Water Tower Place on North Michigan Avenue. The comprehensive project most recently reimagined its 26 Lakeside Suites, with residential-inspired interiors drawing on the city's skyline and Lake Michigan views.

Dining anchors the refreshed property, led by Torali, a modern Italian steakhouse on the 12th floor curated by Executive Chef Guenther Moreno with a menu inspired by seasonal Midwest flavors. The former dining room was reborn as The Cafe, with a greenhouse-inspired design that floods the space with natural light.

Set in the Gold Coast just off the Magnificent Mile, the hotel places guests at the center of Chicago's best shopping and dining. The renovation restores it to the top tier of the city's luxury hotels.
