The Al Faisaliah Hotel had already been one of Riyadh's landmark addresses for years before it officially rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh on January 17, 2024, marking the brand's first entry into Saudi Arabia. A ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together Al Khozama Company's Chairman HRH Prince Bandar Bin Saud Bin Khaled Al Saud and CEO Khalid Saud Abu Haimed to formally mark the transition.

Tihany Design led the refurbishment, reworking the guestrooms and suites, the ground-floor lobby, now branded The Mandarin Lounge, meeting rooms, Al Majlis, and the building's three atriums. The scope of the redesign gave the historic property a genuinely new identity rather than a surface-level rebrand.

The hotel's nine dining destinations now include La Brasserie for all-day dining and The Globe, a fine-dining restaurant serving modern European cuisine with panoramic views over Riyadh. For a city investing heavily in its luxury hospitality scene, Mandarin Oriental's arrival via one of Riyadh's most recognized existing landmarks gave the brand an immediate foothold rather than a ground-up build.
