Le Sirenuse has been the beating heart of Positano since 1951, when the Sersale family opened their salmon-pink summer home to guests. A member of Leading Hotels of the World since 1970, the intimate hotel retains a residential feel, its antique furnishings, artwork, and colorful tiles cascading down the cliff above the sea.

Its dining is as celebrated as its views. The Michelin-starred La Sponda glows with hundreds of candles beneath ivy-lined walls, serving chef Gennaro Russo's seafood and pasta, while Aldo's Cocktail Bar and Seafood Grill floats on a terrace above the water and Franco's Bar shakes classic cocktails at sunset. The Don't Worry Bar, beside La Sponda, adds an artful nightcap.

Positano remains one of the most romantic destinations in the world, and Le Sirenuse is its defining address, as much a piece of the town's identity as the domed church below it. Its blend of family warmth and glamour keeps it eternally in demand.
