Le Mas Bellevue Saint-Tropez will become Oetker Collection's 13th Masterpiece Hotel when it opens in 2027, reconstructed on the former site of the existing Mas Bellevue between the town of Saint-Tropez and the beaches of Pampelonne in Ramatuelle. The plan calls for 53 rooms and suites spread across 11 two-story houses, conceived less as a conventional hotel building and more as a secluded Provençal hamlet that happens to offer five-star service.
Paris-based design duo Gilles & Boissier are leading the interiors, while Triptyque Architecture oversees the reconstruction, working with natural materials throughout, aged tiles, local stone, climbing vegetation, and wooden pergolas, in a palette drawn directly from Saint-Tropez itself: soft pastels, warm ochres, and the terracotta of sun-baked roof tiles. An oversized infinity pool and a genuinely expansive wellness facility round out the plans, positioning the property to compete directly with the Riviera's other grand resort hotels rather than the smaller boutique addresses that have opened in the area more recently.
The project follows Hotel La Palma in Capri and The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach as part of Oetker Collection's steady expansion beyond its historic French and German strongholds, though Saint-Tropez represents something closer to a homecoming given how central the Riviera has always been to the group's identity. For travelers who already know Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc down the coast, Le Mas Bellevue's 2027 opening is genuinely one of the most anticipated hotel debuts in the south of France.
