Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC celebrated 20 consecutive years as a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star award winner in 2025, a two-decade streak that places it among a genuinely small group of hotels anywhere with that level of sustained recognition. The milestone landed alongside a $15 million transformation of 53 of the property's specialty suites, out of 212 total rooms, reconfigured from their original 1979 layouts with walnut paneling, fluted glass and brass detailing, and marble bathrooms.
The renovation followed the Spa and Fitness Centre's reopening on May 1, 2024, giving the hotel a fully refreshed set of amenities heading into its anniversary year. New Executive Chef Sebastien Giannini now oversees the hotel's restaurants, including Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, Seasons, and ENO Wine Bar.
Twenty years of uninterrupted Five-Star status, paired with a genuinely significant suite renovation, gives Four Seasons Washington, DC a case for being one of the capital's most consistently excellent luxury addresses rather than one riding an early reputation.
