Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou, a Private-Island Retreat on Jinji Lake

Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou occupies a private 22-acre island on Jinji Lake, a rare setting that gives the hotel a sense of seclusion within one of China's most historic cities. Opened at the end of 2023, the property pairs contemporary design with the garden-city traditions for which Suzhou has been celebrated for centuries.

Its signature restaurant, Jin Jing Ge, is led by Executive Chinese Chef Charles Zhang and focuses on Jiangnan cuisine, the refined cooking of the Yangtze River delta. The restaurant's seven private dining rooms are each named after a variety of jade, a detail that reflects the hotel's attention to local craft and symbolism, and it holds a Michelin Guide selection.
