Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita Reopens Aramara After a Resort-Wide Renovation

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita completed the final phase of a multi-year renovation of its casita-style guestrooms and villas, refreshing the low-slung, hacienda-inspired architecture that has always distinguished the resort on its Pacific headland north of Puerto Vallarta. The project brought the accommodations in line with the setting rather than reinventing it.

The headline for food lovers was the full renovation and grand reopening of Aramara, the resort's pan-Asian restaurant led by Chef Martín Flores, which returned in 2025 with a Thursday-through-Saturday omakase counter. Aramara, beachside Bahía by Richard Sandoval, and Dos Catrinas all received 2025 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards, a strong showing for a single resort across three very different concepts.

Executive Chef Jorge González, who has been with Four Seasons since 2003, has pushed the resort's sense of place further with a Sea to Table fishing program run with SpearMex and a Catrinas Fest celebration around Día de los Muertos. The result is a resort whose dining feels rooted in its Nayarit coastline rather than imported onto it.
