Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City began a multi-phase renovation in the second quarter of 2025, redesigning all 240 accommodations across its 200 rooms and 40 suites under the direction of Mexican designer Bibiana Huber. Rather than importing a generic luxury look, the project draws on artisan work sourced from Mexico City, Guadalajara, Michoacán, Cancún, and Durango, weaving the country's craft traditions directly into the guest rooms.

The hotel, set in a hacienda-style building around a lush central courtyard on Paseo de la Reforma, stayed open throughout the work, with the full reveal targeted for mid-2026 under the banner An Icon Transformed. Keeping the doors open during a renovation of this depth reflects how central the property is to the city's luxury market.

Dining continues to give guests reasons to stay in, from the omakase counter OMA led by Chef Abraham López to the cocktail bar Fifty Mils, coastal restaurant Zanaya, Italian venue Il Becco, and the Pan Dulce concept. The renovation is meant to bring the rooms up to the level the food and beverage program already occupies.
