Four Seasons Resort Aviara, North San Diego completed a $22 million transformation of its Residence Club, covering all 246 villas along with the clubhouse, fitness center, and pool area, announced in May 2025. The work was designed by Wimberly Interiors of WATG, the same firm behind the resort's original 1998 design, lending the renovation a sense of continuity with the property's roots.
Dining is led by chef de cuisine Jason Winton at the restaurant Seasons, a chef with more than 25 years of experience who trained under Frank Pabst at Vancouver's Blue Water Café and worked at Fairmont Banff Springs and the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. His farm-to-fork menu blends Pacific Northwest and Mediterranean influences.
Set on a bluff above a lagoon in Carlsbad, roughly half an hour north of San Diego, the resort pairs a golf-and-spa focus with proximity to the coast. The Residence Club renovation keeps its long-stay accommodations in step with the rest of the property.
