Spring Cottage, the standalone three-bedroom riverbank house once used by the Astors and their guests, has recently been refreshed, giving one of the property's most historically loaded addresses a fitting update without disturbing its character.

In November 2026, the estate hosted a guest-chef tasting evening with Daniel Galmiche, a chef known across the UK for his French-trained, produce-led cooking, joining the kitchen team at The Cliveden Dining Room for a one-off collaborative menu. It's the kind of programming that keeps a 17th-century stately home feeling current rather than preserved in amber, pairing historic architecture with an evolving culinary calendar.

The recognition has kept pace. Cliveden earned a Gold Badge from U.S. News in 2025, adding to a long list of accolades for the Iconic Luxury Hotels-run property, which sits on 376 acres above the River Thames and includes its own vintage launch boat for cruises past Boulter's Lock and the surrounding parkland.
