Castel Monastero: A Medieval Hamlet in the Chianti Hills

Castel Monastero is a whole medieval hamlet turned hotel, an 11th-century stone village of church, piazza and cellars set in the Chianti hills near Siena. Once a monastery and then a noble estate, it has been restored into an intimate Tuscan retreat where guests stay in the buildings of the old borgo around a central square.

The dining draws on Tuscany.
