Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi: The Brand's First Maldives Address Opens in 2026

Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi marks the brand's first Maldives property, a private-island resort in Raa Atoll built around 54 villas, including a flagship Bvlgari Villa occupying its own dedicated island. Originally slated for a 2025 debut, the opening was pushed to 2026 to give the design and construction teams more time to meet the standard set by the rest of the collection, according to the brand's own account of the delay.

Designed by ACPV Architects, the resort will carry over four dining concepts already proven elsewhere in the Bvlgari portfolio: Il Ristorante Niko Romito for Italian cooking from the brand's longtime culinary partner, Bao Li Xuan as a sister restaurant to the two-Michelin-star original in Shanghai, Hōseki bringing the same Japanese concept found at Bvlgari Resort Dubai, and La Spiaggia for lighter Italian beach food. It's an approach that trades culinary novelty for consistency, letting guests who already know the brand's restaurants elsewhere step into something familiar on a new island.

Sustainability runs through the project as well, with a newly built island designed specifically to host a nesting bird population as part of the resort's environmental plan. Enver Arslan has been appointed general manager ahead of the opening, overseeing a property that represents Bulgari's tenth hotel address overall and only its second true resort, after Bali.
