Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai was named to Condé Nast Traveler China's 2025 Gold List, ranking among the publication's top ten hotels nationally in a list built specifically around dining, design, service, and amenities that set a new bar for the industry. It's a notable showing in a city with no shortage of ambitious new luxury openings competing for the same attention.
The hotel's dining program did much of the heavy lifting behind that recognition. Bao Li Xuan, the property's Chinese fine-dining restaurant, held onto two Michelin stars for a fifth consecutive year in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Shanghai, while Il Ristorante Niko Romito earned its seventh straight star in the same guide, an unusually long run for any hotel restaurant in a market that turns over quickly.
The hotel also leaned into more playful programming this year, including a Roma With a View event and a year-long collaboration with musician James Li that produced three exclusive cocktails served at La Terrazza, and a Serpenti Suite that debuted in January 2025 to mark the Year of the Snake, mirroring the same concept introduced at Bvlgari Hotel Beijing.
