Bvlgari Hotel Roma earned Three MICHELIN Keys in the guide's 2025 rankings, the top honor available and one that places the hotel among a small group of properties recognized globally for design, service, and overall character. It's a fast rise for a hotel that only opened in June 2023 at Piazza Augusto Imperatore, the ninth property in Bulgari's Italian hospitality collection and its first true statement address in Rome itself.
The hotel's profile got a further boost from An Emperor's Jewel: The Making of the Bulgari Hotel Roma, a 2024 documentary directed by Andrea Rovetta with actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, which debuted on Amazon Prime Video and gave viewers an unusually detailed look at how the property came together, from its Roman archaeological site beneath the building to the design decisions layered on top of it.
Looking ahead, Bulgari has announced a new Bvlgari Resort planned across ten hectares of terraced gardens on a private peninsula, home to 100 private Mansions with their own pools and outdoor areas. It's an ambitious expansion for a brand that has built its hotel identity on scarcity rather than scale, and Roma remains the flagship example of what that restraint looks like when it's done at full volume.
