Amanvari Opens as Aman's First Resort in Mexico

Amanvari opened in August 2026 as Aman's first resort in Mexico, an intimate retreat on the East Cape of Baja California within the 1,500-acre Costa Palmas development on the Sea of Cortez. The opening marks a long-awaited arrival for the brand in one of Mexico's most dramatic coastal landscapes, where desert meets a calm, swimmable sea.

The resort comprises just 18 contemporary casitas with sea and mountain views, most spanning around 82 square metres with a private heated pool and terrace. Dining spans the Mexican restaurant Luma, the Japanese restaurant Sesui, the Italian restaurant Arva, and The Lounge Bar, giving the small resort an unusually varied culinary program.

Costa Palmas already includes a Four Seasons, and Amanvari adds a more intimate, design-led counterpoint on the same coastline. Its opening extends Aman's presence into a region increasingly recognized as one of the finest in Mexico.
