Amanpuri Reopens After Its Most Extensive Renovation in 35 Years

Amanpuri, the resort that launched the Aman brand in 1988, reopens on September 14, 2026 following its most extensive renovation in 35 years. The property closed for three months of thoughtful enhancements, a rare pause for the resort that gave the entire brand its name and philosophy.

The renovation adds new restaurants, additional private pools, and new hydrotherapies within a new Spa House, while the resort's signature wooden pavilions, inspired by traditional Thai architecture, have been reconfigured to feel more open and spacious. A new Three-Bedroom Ocean Villa also joined the collection, expanding the resort's offering for families and groups.

Set on a coconut plantation above Pansea Beach on Phuket's peaceful west coast, beside the Andaman Sea, Amanpuri remains a touchstone for the entire luxury resort industry. Its reawakening brings the original Aman up to modern standards while preserving the restraint that made it iconic.
