Amankora introduced a new Himalayan Summer Retreat, a more intimate circuit across its lodges in Bhutan, giving travelers a curated way to experience the kingdom during the greener summer months. The retreat visits Amankora's lodges with experiences that include archery by the Mo Chhu River, the Gangtey Goemba monastery, and the iconic hike to Paro's Tiger's Nest.
Amankora is unusual even within Aman, comprising five lodges spread across the valleys of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, and Bumthang, connected as a single journey. The name itself combines the Sanskrit aman, meaning peace, with the Dzongkha kora, a pilgrimage circuit, capturing the way guests move between lodges.
The property won Bhutan's Leading Hotel at the 2025 World Travel Awards, affirming its standing as the definitive luxury experience in the Himalayan kingdom. Its lodge-to-lodge journey remains one of the most distinctive itineraries in the brand.
