The Moroccan Restaurant is set beside Amanjena's great central reflecting basin — a candle-lit courtyard pavilion where the kitchen works through the full range of Moroccan cuisine, blending Berber, Andalusian, and Mediterranean influences: fragrant tagines decorated with almonds, prunes, and apricots, briouate puff pastries, and slow-cooked mechoui lamb.
The pace is slow and the portions are generous, enlivened by local musicians. Lunch by the basin, when the light filters through the palm canopy, is particularly good.
